PowerMac

Tonight I spent it all fixing my mac. Nothing was wrong with it just cleaned up the inside and reorganized the hard drive cables and stuff. I love my mac, its not the latest mac or anything, but its been with me for a few years now and its my first mac... actually my ibook was the first mac but that died a few years ago also. Now I am considering either upgrading my powermac from a G4 733mhz to a G4 1.7ghz, or wait till the new iBooks come out and buy one. I guess I will have to wait and see how good the new iBooks will be..

Apple usually releases new hardware during its Macworld conference in Nov/december. it releases new software during the WWDC in the summer.

Although this year's WWDC did not mention new software releases it made the big announcement that mac's are transitioning to intel.

Watch for the new powerbooks released this winter... likely with intel inside.

As I side note.. if you are using Tiger its due for a huge update likely in the coming week.

misguided yeah but the ibook is long over due with an update, they could release one any day now.

macs are transitioning to intel but the powerbooks will be the last to follow as usual. they will start with the powermacs and then later with the powerbooks. i am also not interested in the powerbook.

i just upgraded tiger to 10.4.2 yesterday, so i doubt they will be releasing another update this week..
